RUBBER MARKING FOR TIRES

A large area of application for Seri Plastica’s rubber markings is tires. In the tire segment, our labels and stickers are used in manufacturing of new tires and in tire retreading and motorsports. We can customize all product variables in relation to the size, color and shape of our tire markings and always define them individually after consultation with the customer. We do not offer a standard format, but there are numerous options. In order to find the best solution in every case, we take the basic product properties of our tire labels and adapt them to customer requirements.

NEW TIRES

In the new tire segment, we work with tire designers and with the marketing and production departments of tire manufacturers worldwide. Since we implement our rubber markings in the existing tire manufacturing process, this cooperation is very complex. It starts at a very early stage of the project and moves forward in close coordination with the customer. We are not only closely involved in planning, but also in the tire manufacturer’s production process. The goal of new tire manufacturers is to produce special tires for a select customer base. The quality requirements are correspondingly high: The final product should be unique and the tire must look good over a long distance and service life.

For new tires we use our Rubberette® and ID Coded Rubberette® products, which we produce with a wide range of options.

RETREAD TIRES

Retread tires are a prime example of environmental and resource protection. The used tread or profile of a tire is removed in the retreading process and then reapplied. The carcass, which is designed for years of use and high mileage, is retained and used again. In rubber marking for retread tires, it is important to be able to offer a cost-optimized product that is good and easy to process. Since 2006 compliance with EU standard ECE R 108 / 109 has been mandatory for retread tires. In this context, a marking must be applied to the sidewall of the tire with specific data such as speed index, date of manufacture, retreading company, M+S, and other information. Standard labels such as the winter marking for retread tires are always available from stock.

We offer all label variants for cold and hot retreading of tires. A product catalog and sample package can be provided on request.

Our Gummette®, Rubberette®, ID Coded Rubberette® and Vulkanette® products are used for tire marking of retread tires.

MOTORSPORT

In the motorsport segment, we supply all major tire brands for all racing series worldwide. The challenge of tire labeling is to apply a high-quality and very durable label to the sidewall of tires that have already been produced – in the form of branding, for example. We have a broad product range for these applications, which we can further specialize and customize at the customer’s request.

We also produce safety markings (barcodes) for tires that are required by the FIA to a very high safety standard and are 100 percent traceable. We are certified as a supplier for barcode marking of FIA racing series tires and have been working as a reliable partner in the sector for many years.

For sidewall marking in motorsports, it is important to produce a flexible and easy application option for finished tires that shows good durability in racing and represents the identity of the tire brand in appropriate colors. Cost-effectiveness is also a priority in motorsport.

Our Fixette®, Mepolette®, ID Coded Rubberette® and individual solutions in the form of tire stickers are used for sidewall marking in motorsport. These customized solutions may be a single letter set or a label with a semi-permanent protective paper, for example. The products are applied after vulcanization by hot pressing or cold vulcanization, or are self-adhesive.
